hi

How to make yogurt?
Yogurt is a wonderful fermented food, that you can very easily make at home. You don’t need fancy yogurt making equipment, all you need is a good source of grass fed milk (preferably and highly recommended raw), and a starter. A glass jar or ceramic dish and a kitchen towel. But before you get busy making it let’s have a look at what is fermentation and why you should eat fermented foods on a regular bases.
Fermented foods have been part of our diet for a long time. If you look at what people all around the world ate you will find one common dish–fermented food: yogurt, kefir, sour cream, sauerkraut, kimchee, sourdough breads, fermented fish, just to name a few. Fermenting was the way our ancestors began to preserve foods, before refrigeration, canning, pasteurization and other preserving methods came to life.
Science today has proven that fermented foods due to their content of beneficial bacteria “probiotics”, are in fact “the true food as medicine”, and have the power to support healing from the inside out. Healing the gut supports healing the whole body. Ultimately we are what we eat, digest and absorb. Healthy gut healthy you!
